I dunno… a fine effort, I suppose. Left a worse taste in my mouth than a shorthanded three-point loss to a good team should.
It’s waaaaay too early to give up on Biedrins — after three seasons of excellent production, the guy should’ve earned a little slack — but he sure looked clueless out there tonight.
Vlad’s performance was troubling… he had the kind of night that might make Nellie fall back in love with him. Using the term “matador” to describe Vlad’s offense would be an insult to matadors, as their profession actually requires a decent amount of lateral quickness.
Maggette scores 32 on 14 shots, rebounds well, records more assists than turnovers, and still no respect? Feh. He’ll melt your heart yet, Geoffrey.

…”to describe Vlad’s DEFENSE”, that should read. Vlad is acceptably matadorish on offense.
Also, every block on Monta in the third quarter (four in 66 seconds!) sounded like a young man hitting his ceiling. The kid is good, but not nearly good enough to pull off the Superman routine that’s being asked of him. There are some very good offensive weapons surrounding Monta; it’s time that Nellie figured out how to take better advantage of them, and how to remove the tired-leg jumpers and most nakedly obvious drives out of Monta’s attack. I mean, our $5M legendary coach can at least figure out how to help an *offense*, right?

Can’t believe nobody is mentioning this:
People have selective memory…
Monta Ellis Game winning three pointer vs New jersey Nets:

That was a horrible shot that Lebron James took. To be fair, it wasn’t as bad as Nachbar’s (a corner 3) but the long rebound to a guard is pretty much the best case scenario for the Warriors to tie the game. But Ellis hesitated and he missed the open man…
Anyways the last thing the Warriors need to do is to start winning games. They need one of the top 3 draft picks to improve. John Wall / Derrick favors is their only hope….

GSW need a new owner, no amount of talent can overcome a cheap owner who thinks he’s owed a buck.
Joe Sez add an NBA franchise to San Jose, CA, 2nd largest city in CA. We have two MLB and NFL teams locally so we can support two NBA franchises.
Cohan can then decide what to do with his crappy little franchise once NBA fans have a choice or Stern can watch the BayArea lose interest in the NBA’s worst run franchise 15 years running.

oh yeah, Monta hit a game-winner 2 years ago. that pretty much settles it.
or perhaps you’d be more interested in his record against the buzzer (ANY buzzer) ever since. but let’s not let that reality get in the way. after all, he didn’t dribble it off his own leg THIS time.
and Anonymous, especially important to get the facts straight when you’re linking to actual video footage evidence. that shot was a 2, not a 3. we didn’t need the 3 to win that one.
and none of this, of course, has anything to do with whether or not we should have called timeout.
