Bad news for the jilted among the Oracle Arena faithful…
Just got a note from the Clippers, via the Warriors’ PR Department:
Baron Davis, who has missed the Clips’ last 10 games due to a bruised tailbone and strained hamstring, will stay in Los Angeles to receive treatment, thus depriving his former fans of the opportunity to boo him mercilessly for jumping ship in June.
– Geoff
P.S. Ramona Shelburne, my ex-Dean Mob colleague at the L.A. Daily News, had a nice piece recently on the lack of impact Baron’s made with the Clips this season.

They have fine treatment facilities in Park City.

It is January, I’m not surprised he’s on “vacation”.

Cue all the fanboys who are sure that Baron would not be taking this break / playing this poorly if he had gotten his contract from us…. This franchise dodged a bullet by nixing the Baron signing.

FQN: BD’s treatments consist of sitting on a ice bag - right?
It would have been sweet to have BD play out his final year of the old contract as Monta developed. We’d use the 1 pick for a PG and or sign a vet. Kudos to BD for opting out and duping the Clippers.
